Navigating Jakarta Traffic

Posted: 19 days ago
I have a business trip to Jakarta next week and I am dreading the traffic reports I see online. Is it realistic to rent a bike there to get around the city faster between meetings?

This is actually the only way to stay on schedule in this city, as cars are stuck in traffic jams for hours. You need something maneuverable to weave between lanes. I usually recommend checking online platforms to see what's available near your hotel. You can check the current prices for motorcycle rentals in Jakarta, for example, here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/motorcycle-rental/indonesia-jakarta . This is much more efficient than trying to find a local shop on foot after arriving at the airport.

Totally agree. Just be ready for the heat and keep your helmet buckled. Riding there is an experience, but it definitely saves you half the travel time.

This is one of those releases that instantly make sense. In fact, my first thought was, "Doesn’t Doxa make a GMT already?" As it turns out, no such model existed in the brand's automatic self wind catalog — not recently, at least. Doxa made the Sub 750T GMT back in 2006, but it hasn’t offered any since.

The second Bedini book I want to highlight is another Italian marvel, Antonio Cagnoli's "De'Due Orologi Italiano E Francese." Though this link book was published in 1787 (practically yesterday compared to Danti) the copy in our library is one of only a few known to exist in the world (title page, image 5).
