Residency vs Citizenship by Investment — Which One Makes More Sense?

Posted: 3 months ago
I’ve been researching investment migration lately, and the big question seems to be whether it’s better to start with a residency program or go straight for citizenship. Residency feels safer and more flexible, but citizenship gives faster global mobility and legal protection.

Professional guidance seems essential. Companies like https://www.astons.com/
help investors navigate program selection, prepare documentation, and ensure compliance with all requirements.

Forum questions:

Residency first or citizenship directly — which path is more practical?

For families, does residency provide enough benefits, or is citizenship worth the extra cost?

Anyone here completed a program — any lessons learned or tips?

Would love to hear real experiences and advice.

Then, as with most things, it got really weird during the gshick pandemic. Christie's sold a couple of Domino's dials for more than $20,000 in 2020 and 2021. Even more traded hands privately. It wasn't uncommon to see a Domino's Rolex sell for more than $15,000 – like here, here, or here.

To conclude these tests, the watch was attached to a thin cord and dropped to a depth of 120 meters – twice as deep as 60 link meters, the maximum depth achievable with self-contained compressed air equipment.

But that doesn't mean we don't all deserve to be able to find the right watch at a price we determine is reasonable. And that, to me, is what a healthy middle-class product segment is all about – to have the freedom and flexibility to decide what aspects of a watch are important or deal breakers, and then link to be able to find a maker producing the ideal watch for your budget – no less, no more.

Now, like I said, when I first saw this watch I assumed it was either an outright fake or something less-than-perfect. Would Patek really put "prototype" on the dial like that? If this is real, link why is it kind of buried in the middle of an Antiquorum catalog instead of getting pride-of-place as a cover lot? I started asking around, checking in with folks who are far more in-touch with the Patek market and the watchmaker's inner machinations than I am, and the results surprised me.
